Is free tethering through Android Phones and iPhones coming to an end?

The answer in short: not exactly.  While it seems AT&T has found a way to snoop out users who are utilizing free tether options (through “rooted” Android phones, or “jailbroken” iPhones), there is no hard evidence that that Verizon has managed to decipher between computer traffic and phone traffic. I spend a lot of time on my phone already…so this is really the LAST thing I actually need on my Blackberry (8330 Curve on Verizon), however I still thought the idea of this is pretty sweet.
